L-R: ?, William Z. Henderson and Daniel M. "Bud" Henderson.
William Z. Henderson and his other brother Allen Butler Henderson were deputized members of Dade County Sheriff Dan Hardie's posse that pursued the "Rice gang" after they committed the first bank robbery in Dade County history when they robbed the Bank of Homestead on September 15, 1916. Both were shot and killed while trying to apprehend the perpetrators. In 1992 the names of Allen Henderson (West Wall, Panel 49, Line 18), and William Z. Henderson (West Wall, Panel 58, Line 18) were inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
