Maynard Abrams was mayor of Hollywood from 1966 to 1969. He was born in Chicago in 1917 and moved to West Palm Beach in 1921. Attended the University of Florida in the mid 1930's, was a flight instructor in Lakeland during World War II and ran Hollywood Airport 1945. Later an attorney and formed Abrams, Anton, and Robbins one of south Florida's largest firms. He died 1992.
