Old Seminole Field was christened Seminole Stadium March 28, 1983 after a one million dollar renovation was completed on the park. The stadium was dedicated in honor of Dick Howser in March of 1988. Dick Howser Stadium took its place as one of the top collegiate baseball facilities in the country after a two-year, $12 million dollar project was completed in 2004. In January 2004 a new $800,000 video board, standing 40 feet high and 70 feet wide, was installed to provide lineups, statistics and replays throughout the game.
