- Portrait of Florida's future 12th Governor George Franklin Drew
- He built Florida's largest sawmill at Ellaville in 1865. He served as Florida's 12th Governor from January 2, 1877 to January 4, 1881. After his term as governor he returned to the lumber business, having at one time 11 mills in operation. He was prominent in the merchantile affairs of Jacksonville and served as President of its board of trade. He died on September 26, 1900 in Jacksonville.
