General Note
Rattlesnake round-ups are when a community gathers/hunts rattlesnakes in the local woods to 'clean up' the area. By the 1990s, the San Antonio Round-up, held each October, evolved into the San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival, focusing on environmental education and festival activities.
