Hurricane Eloise landed on 23 September 1975. It was the only hurricane to hit the US in 1975, and the only one to strike Panama City Beach in the 20th Century. All together, it caused 76 deaths and over $2 billion in damages (4 deaths and $50 million in Panama City Beach.)
