  • The Wanderer actually belonged to the naturalist Charles B. Cory, who brought it to south Florida in the 1890s. Actor Joseph Jefferson was a frequent guest there. Cory abandoned the boat and it remained docked on the river until it was destroyed by the 1926 hurricane.
