- Six audio cassettes. Sponsored by the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, the festival was held at the Metro-Dade Cultural Center. In 1987, the name of the festival was changed to the Traditions Festival. Stock and Sommers served as emcees. Mariachi Jalisco consisted of: Francisco Rodriguez, guitar; Gabriel Mateo, trumpet; José Areano, guitarón; Hector Varel, trumpet; Pablo Martinez, vihuela. The Billy Rolle Jazz Band consisted of: Billy Rolle, alto and tenor sax; Noel Cruz, electric piano; Robert Cooper, string bass; Al Greers, drums. The bata drummers consisted of: Rinaldo Pena, drum; Arturo Pena, drum; Cerresta Quinzano, drum; Ernesto Pichardo, vocals. Bronsztein played the clarinet, while Bracha joined him on electric piano.

- Seven audio cassettes; seven DAT tapes. This was a two-part recording released by the Florida Folklife Program [as a sequel to the 25th Anniversary of the Florida Folk Festival album] to honor the 40th Anniversary of the Florida Folk Festival. The finished album can be found on tapes 47 and 48 (on cassette) and tapes 36 and 37 (on DAT). The other tapes are various recordings of the Folk Festival from which the album's selection was made. The first 25th Anniversary album - covering the years 1953 through 1980-- can be found in S 1576, reel T83-135.

- One reel to reel recording. Boltin served as emcee. Tillinghast was from Statesville, N.C. Lee & Peggy Kelly were from Palatka. From Jacksonville, Jay & Peggy Smith played the festival since 1959. Jay was an insurance executive, and Peggy taught in Duval County schools. From Ft. Myers, Moore taught at Immokalee High School.

- One reel to reel recording. Dudley served as emcee. Billie's performance began on T87-34. Also known as Chief Jim Billie, James Billie was elected chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida in 1979. It was during his chairmanship, which ended amidst controversy in 2001, that the Seminole peoples' five reservations began their profitable gambling operations. In addition to his administrative duties, the former alligator wrestler and Vietnam vet was also known for his original songs and traditional Seminole stories. He has released several albums. Fiddler Kelly and guitarist Moloney played Irish dance music for dancer Rondeau. Their performance continued on T87-36.

- One digital audio tape (DAT). Milner served as emcee. Hood was president of the Florida State Fiddlers Association. Matthews was the director of the Florida Division of Historical Resources (which housed the Florida Folklife Program). She presented all awards. The Florida State Fiddle Contest was held each year at the Festival on Saturdays (the stages varied from year to year). The winners were allowed to perform on the Main Stage that evening. The winners for 2001 were: Jonathan Hodge (contemporary); Kathy Agar & Ian Malinowksi (twin fiddle); Lloyd Baldwin (rustic); and Puck Pottsberg (junior). Winners of the 2001 Florida Folk Heritage Awards dug-out canoe maker Bobby Henry, Russian iconographer Alexander Jasiukowicz, Irish fiddler James Kelly, traditional Hawaiian artist Henry Ohumukini, fiddler Richard Seaman, and folk singer/songwriter Jeanie Fitchen. Based on recommendations from the Florida Folklife Council, the Secretary of State confers Florida Folk Heritage Awards annually. The awards are given to outstanding folk artists and folk culture advocates who have made long-standing contributions to the folk cultural resources of the state. Established in 1985, the program parallels the National Heritage Fellowships. Johnson was the district bureau chief for the Florida Park Service, District 2. Williams was the director for the Florida Folklife Council.
