Letter from John J. Blair, a member of Governor LeRoy Collins' Advisory Committee on Race Relations, to Judge Leo Luke Fabisinski, another member of the committee. The letter provides a timeline of events in the case of Virgil Hawkins, an African American man seeking admission to the law school at the University of Florida, dating from Hawkins' original petition to the Supreme Court of Florida in 1949 through the hearing in 1956 in which the State Board of Control reported on how integration would affect Florida's institutions of higher learning.
