A letter from William Wyatt, a building contractor and hotelier (who built and ran the Planter's Hotel, one of Tallahassee's earliest hotels), to Governor William Pope Duval regarding his bid to build the second Florida Capitol in Tallahassee. Wyatt lost the bid to Benjamin G. Thornton and Jesse H. Willis of Leon County.
