The celebration is attended by the following Florida dignitaries: former Governors Reubin Askew, Bob Graham and Wayne Mixson; Gov. Bob Martinez; U.S. Sen. Lawton Chiles; Comptroller Gerald Lewis and Secretary of State Jim Smith. US Sen. Bob Graham honors Captain Cason, a security agent for five Florida governors who is well-known for his daily jog up the 22 flights of stairs in the Capitol building.
