Description
Sisinni (vocals, guitar) performs two songs for WMFE-TV's Timeline program, a current events show geared towards schoolchildren and hosted by Donald Meade. The show was aired from the campus of Mid Florida Tech. The audio recording was made by Sawyer, Sisinni's agent and manager. Sisinni was from Orlando.

Description
Three DAT tapes. Digital audio tapes (DAT) generated by fieldwork undertaken to document the folklife of the Callahan neighborhood of Orlando, Florida. Results of the fieldwork were incorporated into the "Folklife Of Central Florida" folklife theme area at the 1994 Florida Folk Festival. The tapes feature African-American hymn lining and blues, folk tales, and children's games. Images of the project can be found in folder 1.

Description
One black and white print. A publicity photograph of singer-guitarist Jim Ballew. Ballew was part of a Florida folk music movement that included Gamble Rogers, Jimmy Buffet, and Will McLean. Also includes a 1987 letter from Ballew to folk advocate (and Florida Folk Heritage Award winner) Barbara Beauchamp. At the time, he was promoting his album, "Roll On Manatee." Ballew died in August 1987.

Description
Nine reel to reel recordings. Reel T86-215 has very poor sound quality -- nearly inaudible. Recordings of two concerts (9/14/1985 in Leesburg on T86-214 through T86-216; and 9/15/1985 in Orlando -- at the Frontline Outreach Building -- on T85-150 through T85 -154) featuring several gospel music groups from Florida and elsewhere: Ponder Singers (Jax.); Cisrow Gospel Allstars (Millville, NJ); Washington Singers (Cocoa); Goldenaires and the Spiritualettes (Orlando); Master Keys and the Dixie Hummingbirds (Philadelphia, PA); and the Dixie Jubilees (Jax). Two color prints. Hardanger was a form of embroidery that dates back to the Renaissance, and began in Scandinavia. The Florida Folk Arts Survey was conducted in 1987 by folklorists Tina Bucuvalis, Steve Fragos, Merri Belland, and Barbara Seitz as preliminary research for a joint folk art between the Florida Folklife Program and the Florida Museum of History. The field researchers focused on those areas previously overlooked by FFP staff. The research focused on identifying folk artists and locating appropriate exhibit objects.
