- Three color slides. Images of a wooden model of a miniature row-boat. Between 1986 and 1987, a partnership between the Florida Folklife Program and the American Folk Center created the Maritime Heritage Survey Project. Focusing on the Gulf and Atlantic fishing cultures, and utilizing photographs, slides, oral histories, and on-site interviews, the survey climaxed with a demonstration area at the 1987 Florida Folk Festival. The three main researchers were Nancy Nusz, Merri Belland, and project director David Taylor. Additional information on the project can be found in Taylor's project files in S 1716.

- Four audio cassettes. Recordings of the Beers playing and discussing various folk songs (German, Irish, mountain songs) they have collected over the years. Popular on the folk circuit in the 1960s, the Beers were sent in 1968 by the U.S. Dept. of State on a tour on India, and once played for the White House in 1969. In 1966, they also began the popular Fox Hollow Festival in upstate New York. In 1972, Bob beers died in car crash. His daughter still performs as Martha Nagler, and Evelyn continued performing at Florida Folk Festivals well into the 1970s. In addition to music, Evelyn would often perform puppet shows at the festivals. Tapes are badly warped.

- Two audio cassettes. Recordings of interviews and music performances by a string band in Otter Creek. Includes interviews with the band members about their music and Otter Creek. Recorded in January 1960, May 1960, and January 1962 by Marty Schuman, who also played with them. The band consisted of Holston (fiddle); Schuman (banjo); Hunt (guitar); and Davis.

- Twenty color slides. A former construction worker, Rudd built wicker furniture from cypress. Originally the cypress was local, but as development increased, he began acquiring the wood areas north of him. The Folk Arts in Education Project in Palm Beach County was a joint venture between the Palm Beach County School System and the Florida Folklife Program. It was conducted between 1986 and 1987 by folklorist Jan Rosenberg with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts to add to existing social studies curriculum. The goal was to impart an appreciation of multi-ethnic traditions and provide a sense of place to the mobile student population. The project focused on the Florida Studies component for fourth grade students. The project consisted of field research to identify local traditions and folk artists, a series of five two-day seminars to acquaint teachers with the use of folklore and folk arts, in-school programs conducted by a folklorist and traditionalist, which included visits by local folk artists. In total, the project involved 15 schools with 779 students.
