Seven audio cassettes. Recording of the annual Florida Fiddlers Contest. In the solo awards, the placements were Fred Stoll (fourth), David Forbes (third), Elan Chalford (second), and Willie Jones(first). For the Accompanied category, the placements were Willie Jones (fourth), Clare Davis (third), Tom Staley (second) and Wayne Martin (first). Etheridge, Barasch, and Rtuland were the judges; and Kelly was a guest performer.

One reel to reel recording. Boltin served as emcee. Bagpiper Hamilton, from Starke and a Florida Times-Union reporter, played first. The Bucksnort Barndance Band and the cloggers were both from Gainesville. Kloiber, at the time a law student at the University of Virginia, was from West Palm Beach; Gerard, a speech graduate student at the University of Tampa, was from Lake City. They met and began playing traditional folk music while students at Florida State University. Dekle was from Macclenny. McKinney and Alvarez were violinists from Starke. At the time Evelyn lived in Petersburg, New York. Popular on the folk circuit in the 1960s, she performed with late husband Bob (and later daughter Martha)as the popular folk act, the Beers Family. They were sent in 1968 by the U.S. Dept. of State on a tour on India, and once played for the White House in 1969. In 1966, they also began the popular Fox Hollow Festival in upstate New York. One compact disc. Kay, director of the Florida Folk Festival, served as emcee. Based out of Portland, Oregon, Anger is a violinist who plays jazz, classic, old time, and bluegrass. He began with the David Grisman Quintet and later formed the Turtle Island Quartet in San Francisco.

One reel to reel recording. Dan Smith was a harmonica player from White Plains, NY. Dobbs was from Palatka. McKinney played the violin. The Hallmans were from Greenville, S.C. The Dirt Kickers were a string band from Tallahassee. Dinella and Myers were singer-guitarists from Tampa. Moore was from Green Cove Springs. Hancock was a dulcimer player from Suffolk, Virginia. Joe mark was from Chapel Hill, NC. The LeFevres were from Knoxville, and consisted of Richard, Shirley, Corey, Amy, and Geoffrey. Will McLean (the Black Hat Troubadour) was a singer-songwriter-guitarist from Orlando. Betty Smith was a dulcimer player from Marietta, Georgia. Jones and Quimby sang African American spirituals -- from Brunswick, Georgia, they would later be known as the Georgia Sea Island Singers. Huber was also from Knoxville, Tennessee. Listed in the program as Eugenia Sisinni Jones, the singer-guitarist was later known as Jeanie Fitchen. The Abundant life Singers were from Clearwater, and Malkine was from New York.
