Scenes of Frog talking with Hendry about sawmills and a saw he invented. Filmed at Jerome Lumber Company. Florida Yesterdays was a Fort Myers-based television program filmed in 1977 that featured storyteller and folk artist Frog Smith discussing "old" Florida. Each episode was about a different topic. Produced by Channel 11 (WINK-TV).

One video cassette. (3/4" tape; 32 minutes) A completed episode of Florida Yesterday, hosted by Frog Smith. Called Pioneer Homes, it involved Frog and Cypress Knee Museum owner Tom Gaskins making cypress shingles and discussing carpentry, jokes, hunting stores, and local lore. Also includes ten minutes of cutaways and inserts of the museum, including the workshop, signs, and exhibits. One video recording (VHS; 60 minutes) Video highlights of a summer school program the FFP offered for South Hamilton Elementary School. The program, aimed at the "at risk" students (K-5) had tow goals: 1. acquire knowledge of folk traditions (riddles, tales, etc.) 2. enhance the students self-esteem The program began with Jacksonville-based storyteller Smith, and followed by instruction by folklorists Shanafelt and Higgs. At the end, the folklorists assessed the success of the program.

One reel to reel recording. (Also copied onto audio cassette C83-98) A recording of the 25th anniversary album produced by the FFP staff in honor of the Florida Folk Festival, covering 1952 - 1977. Released in 1981, the album was culled from the recordings of the Florida Folk Festivals found in S 1576. See notes in S 1579, box 1, folder: 'T83-117 through T83-120' for which reels these selections were copied from.
