Five color slides. The Folk Arts in Schools Project in Columbia and Hamilton County was a joint venture between the county school systems and the Florida Folklife Program. The project consisted of field research to identify local traditions and folk artists, and in-school programs conducted by a folklorist and traditionalist, which included visits by local folk artists.

Fifty-one color slides. Images of booths, demonstrations (sewing, barbeque, weaving, and basket making), activities, signage, and visitors to the Festival of American Folklife. Held on the National Mall and sponsored by the Smithsonian Institute, the festival began in 1967. Created by folklorist Ralph Rinzler, the annual festival showcases national folkife, usually focusing on one state each year.

One audio cassette. Born in Pennsylvania, and at the time a waitress, Hoffman discusses her role in organizing a peace quilt to be presented to Jacksonville's then sister city: Murmansk, Russia. The quilt was created for the Coalition for Peace with Justice. She disccusses organizing the event; finding quilters; the process of making the quilt: 26 quilt patches created separately, then sewn together; discussions of the indivdual patches: the patterns and quilters/creators; and plans for the quilt.
