- Two reel to reels. Huff discusses (through Hall) patchwork sewing including when and how she learned the craft; patterns and designs; the choice of colors and fabrics; clothing styles; patchwork designs; and sewing machines. She also describes her childhood; her family; chickees; childhood stories; glass beads; the Green Corn Dance; and differences between Creek and Seminole peoples. The recordings were created for the Florida Folklife Program's Seminole Slide and Tape Project, a program sponsored by the American Express Company in 1982-1983 to create two educational slide/tape programs for use by schools, community groups, and other educational outlets. One program dealt with sweetgrass basket making; the other on traditional Seminole patchwork. Recordings of the finished program tapes can be found in S 1576, Box 10. Teacher guides, program scripts, and documentation of the project can be found in S 1595, Box 1.

Billie, through her interpreter Jumper, discusses making and selling dolls; the younger generation's interest in the Green Corn Dance; music and attendance at the Green Corn Dance; Seminole burial traditions for adults and children; inventing airboats (which were made from Model Ts); women's hairstyles; teaching children traditional crafts, traditions, and values; sewing patchwork design; and winning a prize for a doll she made.

- One audio cassette (plus three duplicate copies.) An educational audio and slide program about Seminole designs. The program was created from earlier fieldwork images and audio recordings. In the late 1970s, the FFP under the direction of Bulger created six audio and slide programs about Florida folklife for use by schools, libraries, and other organizations.

Annie Bert making baskets at Miccosukee Indian Reservation

- Seven color slides. Images are dark. Bert was born approximately in 1925. She spoke little English. She made coiled sweetgrass baskets. Used newer grass, using cotton thread. She made basket bottoms out of palmetto fiber. The Florida Folk Arts Survey was conducted in 1987 by folklorists Tina Bucuvalis, Steve Fragos, Merri Belland, and Barbara Seitz as preliminary research for a joint folk art between the Florida Folklife Program and the Florida Museum of History. The field researchers focused on those areas previously overlooked by FFP staff. The research focused on identifying folk artists and locating appropriate exhibit objects.
