One audio cassette. Side 1: Interview of Nancy Morgan: Morgan discusses both making hog's headcheese and her life's history. She talks about how long she had been making the head cheese, butchering hogs, the parts she uses, how she boils the head, dressing the hog, and special recipes like liver pudding, chitlins and cracklins, pig's feet, and beef tripe, etc. She also describes growing up in Fargo, Georgia, related weather and insects, her family's ethnic heritage, and talks about how her father taught her old songs and performed at various venues. She sings "Little Orphan Girl" and "Wake Up Jacob" without instrumentals. Side 2: Interview of Ray Morgan, with Nancy Morgan: [Difficult to hear-voices indistinct.] Ray Morgan talks about how he and Nancy met and on making and playing gourd fiddles. Plays the gourd and regular fiddle.

Four audio cassettes. Recordings of the Beers playing and discussing various folk songs (German, Irish, mountain songs) they have collected over the years. Popular on the folk circuit in the 1960s, the Beers were sent in 1968 by the U.S. Dept. of State on a tour on India, and once played for the White House in 1969. In 1966, they also began the popular Fox Hollow Festival in upstate New York. In 1972, Bob beers died in car crash. His daughter still performs as Martha Nagler, and Evelyn continued performing at Florida Folk Festivals well into the 1970s. In addition to music, Evelyn would often perform puppet shows at the festivals. Tapes are badly warped.

Side B Mr. Reaves performs: "Sally Goodin"; "Waltz You Saved for Me" (his mother's favorite); "Orange Blossom Special"; "Rye Whiskey" (first song he learned); Mr. Reaves plays with three fingers. Mariachi Jalisco consisted of: Francisco Rodriguez, guitar; Gabriel Mateo, trumpet; José Areano, guitarón; Hector Varel, trumpet; Pablo Martinez, vihuela. The Billy Rolle Jazz Band consisted of: Billy Rolle, alto and tenor sax; Noel Cruz, electric piano; Robert Cooper, string bass; Al Greers, drums.

In the solo awards, the placements were Fred Stoll (fourth), David Forbes (third), Elan Chalford (second), and Willie Jones(first). For the Accompanied category, the placements were Willie Jones (fourth), Clare Davis (third), Tom Staley (second) and Wayne Martin (first). Etheridge, Barasch, and Rtuland were the judges; and Kelly was a guest performer.
