Interview with Bill Paskalakis making a cross for Epiphany; shots of Nikitas Tsimouris in his garden, looking through family pictures, and making a reed and pipe for chanter. Created for the Every Island Has Its Own Song project. The finished product was a documentary about Nikitas Tsimouris, a Greek bagpipe player, and his family, and the Tarpon Springs Greek community he lived in. A co-production of WEDO-TV and the FFP, it was funded in part by the Florida Endowment for the Humanities. Offenbach narrated. Folklorist Michael researched, wrote and produced, and Yvonne Bryant was assistant producer.

Nikitas Tsimouris performing at fundraiser for Greek dancers at Clearwater Greek Orthodox Church ("Argálio", "Susta", "Esos Kalymnikos" and "Susta"), Greek-American band "Grecian Melodies". Created for the Every Island Has Its Own Song project. The finished product was a documentary about Nikitas Tsimouris, a Greek bagpipe player, and his family, and the Tarpon Springs Greek community he lived in. V89-27: Continuation of "Ala ruja" from V-89-26 with Nikitas, Tony, and Nicki (Nikitas' daughter) Tsimouris.

Description
One reel to reel recording. Boltin served as emcee. Bagpiper Hamilton, from Starke and a Florida Times-Union reporter, played first. The Bucksnort Barndance Band and the cloggers were both from Gainesville. Kloiber, at the time a law student at the University of Virginia, was from West Palm Beach; Gerard, a speech graduate student at the University of Tampa, was from Lake City. They met and began playing traditional folk music while students at Florida State University. Dekle was from Macclenny. McKinney and Alvarez were violinists from Starke. At the time Evelyn lived in Petersburg, New York. Popular on the folk circuit in the 1960s, she performed with late husband Bob (and later daughter Martha)as the popular folk act, the Beers Family. They were sent in 1968 by the U.S. Dept. of State on a tour on India, and once played for the White House in 1969. In 1966, they also began the popular Fox Hollow Festival in upstate New York.
