One audio cassette tape. Tozzer served as emcee. Joseph Kilgore and Darren Watts discuss net making and whip making. Kilgore discusses his childhood and how he learned to make nets and whips as well as time he spent as a yacht captain and first mate. Later in the tape, he discusses his method of net and whip making. Darren Watts describes how he met Kilgore and began making nets and whips. The Roddenberry family (Mrs. Bernice Rodenberry and daughters: Betty Owens, Doris Lloyd, Katherine Lett, Debbie Todd, Judy Drury, Latrelle McDowell and Sheila Carter) performs songs including "Down by the River", an unnamed Sacred Harp (shape note) song and "Amazing Grace". They discuss how they learned to sing and also the making of palmetto brooms.
