From Jacksonville, Jay & Peggy Smith played the festival since 1959. Jay was an insurance executive, and Peggy taught in Duval County schools. From Ft. Myers, Moore taught at Immokalee High School.

Description: One reel to reel recording. Boltin served as emcee. (The second half of the reel consists of the Saturday afternoon performances.) Burstine was the wife of the late bob Beers, and lived in Petersburg, New York where directed the Fox Hollow Folk Festival. Johnson was a guitarist from Gainesville; his partner Wickman worked for the St. Augustine Preservation Board. They sang nineteenth-century songs, The Smiths were from Jacksonville. Battle and Koehn were from Tampa. Muller was a dulcimer player, as well as a music instructor at the Seminole Community College. Tillinghast was from Stone Mountain, Georgia, though raised in Florida. The Sawgrass Boys were from Hobe Sound.

Mitchell performed a shoeshine rag with heaps-Nelson on harmonica. Moore was form Naples. Singer-storyteller-guitarist Rogers was from St. Augustine. Muller was a music instructor at Seminole Community College. Junkanoos played calypso music.

Florida Memory is a digital outreach program providing free online access to select archival records from collections housed in the State Library and Archives of Florida. Florida Memory digitizes materials that illuminate the state's history and culture.

Florida Memory is funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida's LSTA program is administered by the Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services.

For FY2022-23, the percentage of total costs for the Florida Memory program financed with federal money is 66%; the federal dollar amount to be spent on the program is $646,422. This program does not receive any non-governmental funding.
