Description
Two reel to reel recordings. Rogers served as emcee. Singer-songwriter Will McLean was often called the 'Father of Florida Folk.' The Black Hat Troubadour, a nickname for the hat he usually wore, authored over 3500 songs, and was a national figure on the folk music scene. A fifth generation Floridian, he died in 1990 from cancer, the year after he won the Florida Folk Heritage award. In 1996, he was inducted in the Florida Artists Hall of Fame. One digital audio tape (DAT). Thomas served as emcee. The Bellamy Brothers - David and Howard - were a country music duo from Darby, Florida. After they attended University of Florida, both entered the music business. David's "Spiders and Snakes" became a hit for Jim Stafford. As a duo, their first country music hit was in 1975, with "Let Your Love Flow." They remained popular throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Their latest album in 2001 was 1999's Lonely Planet. They played at the festival with Joe Spann (banjo) and Steve Dorker (fiddle).

Description
One digital audio tape (DAT).  Dean was born in Quincy, Florida in April 1962. After a basketball scholarship to East Central Junior College (Decatur, Mississippi), Dean began toruing clubs on the Gulf Coast. He entered the music business through a series of contests, most significantly in 1988 with a winning appearance on the TV show, Star Search. Releasing several hit country music albums in the early 1990s, Dean also performed in several TV comedies and soap operas. By 1999, Dean was no longer charting in the Top Ten, but was still a popular concert performer. He released his last album (Real Man) in 1998. (He relased a "comeback" album in 2005.)
