Malkine, of Shady, New York, played the lute and sang French folk songs. The Stephens were from Panama City: Zeke played the fiddle, and Rosa strawbeat. The Beers were from Petersburg, New York. Thomas lived in Delray Beach. Levy was the coordinator of Arts and Music at the Columbia County School System. The Rutherford County Square Dancers were based out of Murphreesboro, Tenn. Grady Thompson & the Good Guys were from West Palm Beach. The Schillings lived in Cosby, Tenn.

Florida Memory is funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida's LSTA program is administered by the Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services.

For FY2022-23, the percentage of total costs for the Florida Memory program financed with federal money is 66%; the federal dollar amount to be spent on the program is $646,422. This program does not receive any non-governmental funding.
