One audio cassette. NOTE: Because this was a copyrighted recording, no copies of the recordings will be made. Recording of the 1972 White Springs Bluegrass Festival, which was actually an impromptu bluegrass performance at the Florida Folk Festival's campground. The recording marked the first professionally-released recording of the Florida Folk Festival, even though it consisted of unofficial performances. Recorded and mixed by Blair Mooney, Studio 70, Tampa, Florida and produced and directed by Ben Brown and Peter Leonardi. Released by Kaloosa Record Company in Tampa.

Description
One reel to reel recording. NOTE: Due to technical problems with the original reels the recording quality of the 1971 Florida Folk Festival is exceptionally poor. Boltin served as emcee. (The last five tracks of the reel -- not listed here -- are from the Friday afternoon program. See separate entry for description.) The first few tracks may have been from the previous day's program (Thursday, 6 May, 1971). The reel indexes are unclear. The Schillings were from Cosby, Tennessee. Jean played dulcimer. The Orange Blossom Bluegrass were from Tampa. Nelson lived in Gainesville. Pavitt lived in Juneau, Alaska. The Good Guys were based out of West Palm Beach. Fiddler Stephens lived in Panama City. Starker played the steel drums.

Two publicity photgraphs for the Orange Blossom Bluegrass, a five-member musical band (although only three members are pictured.)They performed at the 1977 and 1978 Florida Folk Festivals. The group consisted of: Dave Langston -- fiddle; Oscar Singleton -- bass; Stan Bailey -- guitar; Bob Prue -- mandolin; Nick Leslie -- banjo. Their homebase was in Tampa.
