Side A Buddy Maddox discusses his early history; sharecropping; Turpentine camps in Clarksville and Merrysville; moving to different places; different odd jobs he did such as running a ferry, commercial fishing, road work and railroad work and turpentine; blacksmithing - especially maritime; more odd jobs; making nets; building his own blacksmith shop and converting from coal to gas. Side B Discusses a man who makes wooden boats in Blountstown; changes in fishing in Panama City over the years; fears over the changes; Mr. Bob Raffield and superstitions on boats.
