Kloiber and Gerard, both from Lake City, began performing while at Florida State University together. The Kellys were from Palatka. Devane played with the Bucksnort Barndance Band, a bluegrass group from Gainesville.

One reel to reel recording. Boltin served as emcee. Malkine was from Shady, New York. Lazonby was from Hawthorne. Gerard and Kershner was from Lake City. The Kellys were from Palatka. Skip Johns and his band were from Lake City, and Waddell hailed from Jacksonville. Williamson was from Palatka. Frog Smith told stories, and was from Fort Myers. Whatley, of Bell, sang country music. Bullard lived in White Springs. Hancock played the mouth harp and was from Suffolk, Virginia. The Beseda Dancers were from the Czechoslovakian American community Masaryktown. The Caney were from Cookeville, Tennessee. Bessie Jones and Frankie Quimby, both of Brunswick, Georgia, later became known as the Georgia Sea Island Singers. Moore sang ballads, and lived in Green Cove Springs.

Gerard was from Lake City, and Kloiber was from West Palm Beach. Muller taught at Seminole Community College. Moore was from Fernandina.

One reel to reel recording. Boltin served as emcee. Bagpiper Hamilton, from Starke and a Florida Times-Union reporter, played first. The Bucksnort Barndance Band and the cloggers were both from Gainesville. Kloiber, at the time a law student at the University of Virginia, was from West Palm Beach; Gerard, a speech graduate student at the University of Tampa, was from Lake City. They met and began playing traditional folk music while students at Florida State University. Dekle was from Macclenny. McKinney and Alvarez were violinists from Starke. At the time Evelyn lived in Petersburg, New York. Popular on the folk circuit in the 1960s, she performed with late husband Bob (and later daughter Martha)as the popular folk act, the Beers Family. They were sent in 1968 by the U.S. Dept. of State on a tour on India, and once played for the White House in 1969. In 1966, they also began the popular Fox Hollow Festival in upstate New York. The New Sand Mountain Wildcats was from Lutz; they consisted of Ernie Williams, Rob Levine (psychology professor), Shellie Yeager, Daralyn Caudill (teacher), and Bill Dudley (a FM disc jockey). Kloiber, at the time a law student at the University of Virginia, was from West Palm Beach; Gerard, a speech graduate student at the University of Tampa, was from Lake City. They met and began playing traditional folk music while students at Florida State University. Blues singer Brown was from St. Petersburg. George and Marilyn Heaps-Nelson were from Swainsboro, Georgia. Bonk was from Atlanta, Georgia.
