One audio cassette tape. McEuen and Ibbotson were members of the country-rock-bluegrass group the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, originally based out of California and formed in 1965. McEuen replaced band member Jackson Brown in 1966. Along with the Byrds, they helped move popular rock music to into folk and country terrain. In 1972, they released the influential "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" which many early country and old time performers such as Merle Travis, Maybelle Carter, Vassar Clements, and made guitar player Doc Watson and major star. (Two sequels were, one in 1989, and the other in 2002). McEuen left the band in 1987, and Ibbotson left in the 1990s. In 1999, the two recorded the album "Stories and Songs." Here, they were joined by Clements and Vassar Carl (both from the Will the Circle Be Unbroken recording.)
