Jaya and Nila Radhakrishnan give a demonstration of East Indian dance along with an explanation of the music, story (Jaya), and steps (Nila); they perform a composition of Nila's father, C.V. Radhakrishnan, called "Amida Budgeon." Bill Lee and Beth Gill (of the Sarasota Sailor Circus) discuss the circus; Lee focuses on circus traditions and history while Gill discusses the school and work required and relationships with friends and family. Because this was the 40th festival, the Crossroads area was partly devoted to performers who contributed to the festival's past and development.

Description
One digital audio tape (DAT). Clements was a long-time bluegrass and old-time music fiddler. Over the years, he played with Bill Monroe, Jim and Jesse, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Doc Watson, and Earl Scruggs. The Rice Brothers - Tony, Larry, and Wyatt - have performed bluegrass music with each other and as solo artists since the 1970s. Part of the "New Grass" movement (which also made Clements a well-known performer), the Rice Brothers have popularized and modernized bluegrass music. Tony and Wyatt played guitar, while Larry played mandolin.
