Description
Seven reel-to-reel audiotapes. Recording of a conversation and impromptu performance by Brown and Williams. This was the first time these men had met. They discuss gospel, country, rock and roll, and blues music; women; segregation; other folk festivals; various jobs they worked; and performing. They perform several songs. The audio quality varies from poor to fair throughout. Copied onto audiocassettes C81-12, C81-13 and C81-14.

One audio cassette. Sheppard discusses how he began to braid whips and gives step-by-step instructions for starting whips. He also talks about his knowledge of Florida history and the use of the whip in Florida history, his trademark, his whip acts, and an accident driving cattle. Sheppard then discusses the origins of the term "Florida Cracker," talks about brindles and Conway buckles, and demonstrates how to braid a whip.
