1) The Florida Photographic Collection: a nationally recognized component of the Florida State Archives. Over 143,000 photographs have been scanned and placed on this web site

The collection spans a wide range of visual images from copies of mid 15th Century maps to current photographs. Together, they form the most complete portrait of Florida available--one that draws its strength from family photographs, the homes of Floridians, their work, and their pastimes.

The film and video tapes in the Florida Photographic Collection date from 1917 to the 1980s, and have been described by other film archives as "unique in the nation."

Short clips from fifty of these films have been placed on this web site. The films and video tapes selected date from 1916 to the 1980s and cover a variety of topics including education, environment, family life, industry, integration, politics, sports, and World War II.

2) The Online Classroom: designed to help educators use photographs and documents from the Florida State Archives. Lesson plans are correlated to the Sunshine State Standards.

The Online Classroom also showcases collaborative projects between the Florida State Archives and Florida schools. These projects help students make a personal connection to the primary source documents that tell the stories of their communities.

3) Highlights of Florida History: provides images of historically significant documents from the Florida State Archives' collections.

These documents represent some of the formative events in Florida history and offer an important resource to researchers and students.
