General Note
Born on January 4, 1899 in Jacksonville, Calhoun County, Alabama. During the First World War enlisted in Troop A, Second Cavalry in April 1917. He was a member of the Florida State House from 1949 until 1952. Served as a member of the U.S. House from January 3, 1953 until January 3, 1977. He died on August 6, 1981.
