Accompanying note: "Born 1928. Moved to Tallahassee and learned to play reed and brass instruments in high school. After studies at A & M University became director of band at Fort Lauderdale's Dillard High School. Led a dance band and studied music while in the Army. Taught and played in bands in the 1950s. He was a well known performer and recording artist in the 1960s."
