"The year 1936 saw National's fleet of two Ryans replaced by two-trimotor Stinsons that carried eight passengers each, compared to the Ryans' four, after just tow years. Four hundred passengers had been carried during the first year. national was among recipients of the first certificates of safe operations, inaugurated that year by the National Safety Council. Photographed with one of the Stinsons is Captain E. J. Kershaw."
