On the first day of April, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven, at the county and territory aforesaid, was indebted to your petitioner in the sum of forty one thousand, five hundred and sixty six dollars, lawful money of the United States, payable in four annual installments with interest, and for the payment of which said sum of money, the said Samuel Parkhill in his lifetime executed his four promissory notes, bearing date the day & year aforesaid, payable respectable on the first day of April, eighteen hundred and thirty eight, and the first day of April, Eighteen hundred and thirty nine: On the first day of April Eighteen hundred & forty: and on the first day of April Eighteen hundred and forty one:

And you petitioner further showith that the said Samuel Parkhill in his lifetime, heretofore, to wit, on the day & year aforesaid for the purpose of securing the payment of said notes, as they should become due and payable, executed a deed of mortgage, whereby he conveyed and mortgaged to your petitioner the following described lots, parcels, or tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the County & Territory aforesaid, and known & designated as: the west half of the south west quarter of section one, the south half of section two, the west half of the south east quarter of section three, the east half of the north east-quarter, and the east half of the south.
