Accompanying note: "On April 25, 2013, French Ambassador to the United States Francois Delattre and Consulate General of France in Miami Gael de Maisonneuve came to the Historic Capitol in Tallahassee to honor six World War II veterans. The Ambassador bestowed the French Legion of Honor Medal upon six Floridians who fought to liberate France from Nazi rule: Marvin Edwards, Frederick Felentzer, Axel Hansen Jr., James Jernegan, Floyd Coleman, and John Ripandelli."
