  • One audio cassette tape. Johnny Conga continues from C96-112 with his personal history. He then discusses various rhythms associated with conga drumming such as comparsa (Cuba), plena (Puerto Rico), bomba (Puerto Rico), rumba (Cuba), abaqua (Afro-Cuban), agogo and samba (Brazil). He also discusses the "Mongo" style of playing, the calabash and Carnival. He plays a Mambo. The Rondalla Filipino String Band gives a history and explanation of the band and the instrument, banduria.
