Recordings of the 1978 Florida Folk Festival

• 44 reel to reels. NOTE: Reels T80-33 and T80-37 are missing. For information regarding performers, titles of songs, and other details, see individual reel descriptions. The FFP recorded the main stage/amphitheater only, although performances were given throughout the park. Seven recordings of two performances from the North Florida Folklife Project at the Old Marble Stage are also included. For a listing of other performers from those stages, see the festival programs located in S 1619. The festival began on Friday (26 May) morning at 10:00am and ran through Monday (29 May) afternoon. Performers usually played sets of four to eight songs each. Performances were presented in morning, afternoon, and evening blocks. This was the 26th Florida Folk Festival.
