General Note
Jon Kay was the Florida Park Service's first folklorist. After receiving his masters at "Western Kentucky University, he worked at Stephen Foster Culture Center State Park from 1998 to 2004. From 2002 through 2004, he served as director of the Florida Folk Festival. He left in 2004 to direct Indiana's folklife program, Traditional Arts Indiana. He was also well-known dulcimer player.
