Biographical Note
Land and structure bought by John R. Dorsey from Jesse and Ann Willis for 1,000 in 1836. Bought by William Wilson for 3,000 in 1838. Wilson owned a book store and was editor of the Floridian. George L. Damon inherited in 1858. J.C. Guerry purchased in 1921. Vardi Weale purhcased in 1964 and moved her gift shop there. Shaws,Inc. purchased in 1973. A. Eugene Lewis and Harold D. Lewis purchased it for use as law offices.
