Biographical Note
Buena V. Elmore was a physician in Blountstown for 12 years before becoming health commissioner of Floyd County, Georgia in 1921, a position he held for 35 years. Elmore received his medical degree in 1907 from the Atlanta School of Medicine, now Emory University.
