General Note
The Florida Wildlife Federation, the state affiliate of the National Wildlife federation, has been active since 1937. It is a private, not-for-profit environmental organization aimed at protecting natural wildlife in the state.
The handwritten sign in the center of the display reads: "Save the Big Cypress. South Florida is in Big Trouble. Water supply polluted. Typhoid fever outbreak. Fish dying in Bay. Air pollution. High crime rate. Overpopulation. Help Us Save Big Cypress."
