Ney Landrum was the director of the Florida Park from 1969 (when it became the Division of Recreation and Parks within DNR) to 1989. Before that, he was in charge of the Outdoor Recreation Development Council. He was a major influence on the national state park movement, and was director for several years of the National Associaiton of State Park Directors.
