General Note
The image was photographed in November 1969. Beck was the first female Florida Park Service field employee, starting in 1941 to help naturalist Oscar Baynard create exhibits. Until the 1960s, she created brochures, interpretive signs and exhibits for the Florida Park Service. For much of her career, she was based out of Highlands Hammock.
