General Note
Lake Kissimmee State Park was purchased by the Florida Park Service in 1969 (5030 acres) and opened for public use in 1977. The park is located 15 miles East of Lake Wales, Florida.
The cattle were part of the park's living history program, in which park rangers presented an authentic 1876 cow camp. Scrub cattle were descendents of 17th Century Spanish cattle that has adapted to the Florida environment.
A park truck is visible in the original print to the right of the tree in the center of the image.
