General Note
Dellis hand carves original designs in boot tops, saddles, tack, and belts using techniques he has practiced since 1947. He began his career in leather carving at age 19 under master carver Ray Pohja at the N. Porter Saddle Company in Phoenix, Arizona. Unlike most stamped leather products that are mass-produced by machine, all of Dellis' work is carved, beveled, stamped, and dyed or painted by hand.
Dellis mentored Kitt Maynard of Okeechobee.
