General Note
Accompanying note "House cat, Rep. Everett Kelly, House Speaker pro tempore got a bit a surprise when he went to his seat by the chamber of the Florida House of Representatives. His desk was surronded by young pages and it was occupied by a 130 lb. panther. Kelly told the cat's owner Bert Wahl, (C, with beard) the cat could have the desk, the chair and anything else he wanted. The animal was invited to the legilature by Rep. Brian Rush who wanted fellow members to see first hand what the endangered species was like."
Bert Wahl was later charged with animal cruelity.
