Collection Index

This guide describes the individual collections that comprise the Florida Photographic Collection as a whole.

Unidentified men with their catch : Key West, Florida (1954)

Do you know these people?

We receive a number of interesting Florida photos in need of additional identification.

If you can identify any of the individuals, structures or events that remain unidentified, contact us at Archives@dos.state.fl.us. Please include any documentation that might substantiate your information.

Note: The Florida Photographic Collection is comprised of numerous photographic formats, from daguerreotypes to digital images, and includes everything from amateur family photographs to portraits by the top professionals in the business.  As a result, the visual quality of the photographs may vary widely from image to image. While the staff at the State Library and Archives of Florida attempts to present to our patrons the best possible representation, image quality is limited by the condition of the original.

For current legislator’s photographs, see Online Sunshine.
