-Andrew Jackson
is elected President of the United States. |

Eaton becomes Governor of Florida.
He had previously
served in the federal cabinet position of Secretary of War, but resigned
over a scandal involving his wife, Margaret O'Neale.

Keith Call becomes Governor of Florida.
He is later
removed because of controversy with Federal authorities.

Raymond Reid is appointed Governor. |

Keith Call is appointed Governor for the second time. |

Branch is appointed Governor of Florida.
He had previously
served as Secretary of the Navy in Andrew Jackson's cabinet, but resigned
in the scandal involving Margaret O'Neale, wife of John Eaton.
