-Andrew Jackson
is elected President of the United States. |

Eaton becomes Governor of Florida.
He had previously
served in the federal cabinet position of Secretary of War, but resigned
over a scandal involving his wife, Margaret O'Neale.

Keith Call becomes Governor of Florida.
He is later
removed because of controversy with Federal authorities.

Raymond Reid is appointed Governor. |

Branch is appointed Governor of Florida.
He had previously
