| Notes : |
The roughest bark at the base of the tree is smoothed with
a broadax. An incision is made with the broadax with the maul. Into this
incision a strip of crimped galvanized iron or aluminum (called gutter)
is inserted. As the broadax is removed the wood springs back and grips the
gutter tightly.Hacks and broadax are by the toolbox. The maul is at the
right. |
