Torch Of Friendship, The
A film promoting the Hampton House Hotel in Miami, a business oriented to an African-American clientele. Notable black men and women of the 1960s gather there, such as Ralph Metcalf (gold medalist, 1932 & 1936 Olympics), Althea Gibson (Wimbledon Champ), Martin Luther King Jr., singer Jackie Wilson, baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson. Follows the same formula as other promotional films, except almost everyone in it is black. Shows entertainment, the owners, a fashion show, dog and horse racing, Miami Seaquarium, Torch of Friendship, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Baltimore Orioles, FAMU Track team. Produced by Don Parisher.
